The Hormone and Urinary Metabolites Assessment Profile (HuMap) provides valuable insights into hormone metabolism and enzyme efficiency. Through non-invasive urine collections, it evaluates liver processes, hormone breakdown, and detoxification pathways. Additionally, it assesses catechol estrogens, cortisol/cortisone ratios, and 5α-reductase activity, vital for hormone balance, as well as, progesterone and its metabolites.

✅ Analysing steroid hormones, metabolites, and enzyme efficiency for a comprehensive hormonal profile.
✅ illustrates areas of hormone metabolism that may require additional support

● Do not skip doses of oral birth control pills unless directed by your healthcare provider.

Additional Recommendations: Cortisol/Glucocorticoid Supplementation - If you are taking glucocorticoids, consult your healthcare provider. Avoid strenuous exercise

For best results, limit fluid intake to 4–8 cups (1–2 litres) during this period

48 Hours Before and During Collection:

If you are also testing neurotransmitters

Avoid the following foods and beverages, as they may interfere with test results:

● Fruits: avocados, bananas, melons, pineapple, grapefruit, plums, tomatoes, eggplant/aubergine

● Other items: fruit juice, nuts, nut butters, wine, cheese, rice, chocolate

Day of Both Collections:- To ensure accurate results, avoid all supplements and medications until after all samples have been collected, including those used to manage: allergies, mood, sleep, pain, inflammation

The sample comes with a freezer pack. Freeze the ice pack before collecting your sample. After collection, freeze the urine samples for at least 4 hours, and keep it frozen along with the ice pack until ready to ship. The sample must be shipped within 48 hours of collection. It is recommend collecting your sample on Monday or Tuesday and returning it the same day after freezing, or the next day. Samples must be received at the Labs between Monday and Thursday, with the last dispatch day being Wednesday. To ensure timely shipping, schedule the courier collection at least 24 hours in advance.

Q. I go to the toilet several times in the night - will this make a difference?

This test is designed to approximate a 24-hour urine collection. To achieve this:

● Collect as much urine as possible throughout the entire day and night

● Whenever possible, collect from a full bladder to improve sample representation

● While timing is helpful, obtaining a comprehensive urine sample is more important than collecting at exact times
