The Kryptopyrroles urine test measures the "Mauve Factor" (hydroxyhemopyrrolin-2-one) in urine to identify pyroluria. Elevated levels indicate an often stress-induced, metabolic condition that depletes zinc and vitamin which is associated with psychiatric disorders, ADHD, autism, and fatigue.

This test is suitable for both adults and children any age; as long as the child can provide a clean urine sample.
This kit is shipped out to you via Royal Mail with return packaging. Results should be expected in approximately 2 weeks.
Who is this test suitable for?
This is for when patient’s exhibit symptoms like anxiety, depression, poor stress tolerance, white spots on nails, or "brain fog". High levels of pyroluria suggest a need for nutritional intervention to correct the underlying deficiencies.

Q. How do you support me with my results?
If you do not select the Lab Results Only package, then In ADDITION to your lab report we provide the following options which are INCLUDED in the package prices:
A) Follow up personalised written report produced by our clinical team highlighting dietary and lifestyle advice plus links to supplement protocols, specific doses and any further testing requirements included. We use the patient information you provide us at checkout along with your results to compile personalised action points for you.
OR
B) Follow up 30-minute video call to discuss your results and answer any questions you have. Once the lab has completed your results you will be sent these via email with a link to book a time and day online. You will also then be given the option to upgrade your 30-minute call to a 45-minute call for an additional £30 if you wish. During the call your practitioner will explain the results in more detail and what they mean for you. After your call you are sent a personalised list of supplements & the dose your practitioner advises with links to purchase from our supplements store. This is for your convenience. You are of course welcome to purchase supplements elsewhere. You will also be provided with a list of follow up tests should this be required plus a copy of your recorded zoom call which you can download and keep.

Q. What is the process?
Requires an early morning, mid-stream urine sample, using a special, light-protected kit supplied in the kit (the sample should be protected from light at all opportunities)
IMPORTANT NOTE - We cannot process samples without all patient details included, written on the urine tube label.
These MUST match the sample request form received with this sample.
If there is any delay before returning sample please refrigerate the black container & sample until posting.
We advise samples should reach the laboratory within 48 hours of collection. It is highly recommended to post samples as soon as possible after collection between Monday - Thursday, to minimise delays in the laboratory receiving the sample over the weekend and to ensure suitable sample stability
Q. How do I return my sample?
Patient preparation: No special preparation is required, and the patient can continue to take nutritional supplements and medication before the collection of the sample.
Specimen requirements: Your kit is posted to you from the UK within 24–48 hours of ordering so you should receive your test kit within a few days via Royal Mail. Please post your sample back using the freepost Royal Mail. Sample stability – 5 days (Protect from light)
