DUTCH Complete is the full DUTCH test — one product, two options
The DUTCH Complete is the full version of the DUTCH hormone test (Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones). It is available in two configurations: DUTCH Complete on its own (a single-day collection), or DUTCH Complete + Cycle Mapping (which adds nine targeted sample collections across the full menstrual cycle for a fuller monthly hormone picture).
This DUTCH test UK uses dried urine collection strips to analyse key sex hormones, adrenal hormones, and hormone metabolites — how your body breaks down and processes each hormone. As an at-home hormone test for women and men, it provides a level of detail that a standard blood test cannot, particularly for investigating patterns linked to oestrogen dominance, poor hormone detoxification, and adrenal stress responses.
DUTCH Cycle Mapping is an add-on to DUTCH Complete that maps progesterone and oestrogen across the full menstrual cycle using nine targeted sample collections. It characterises the follicular, ovulatory and luteal phases to provide a fuller picture of monthly hormone patterns that a single-day test cannot capture.
In a healthy cycle, oestrogen is relatively low early in the cycle, surges around ovulation, then remains at moderate levels in the luteal phase. Progesterone stays low until ovulation, then ideally rises more than ten-fold before dropping back at cycle end. A disruption to this pattern can contribute to infertility, hormonal imbalance or cycle-specific symptoms.
FAQs

In ADDITION to your lab report we provide the following options which are INCLUDED in the package prices:
A) Follow up personalised written report produced by our clinical team highlighting dietary and lifestyle advice plus links to supplement protocols, specific doses and any further testing requirements included. We use the patient information you provide us at checkout along with your results to compile personalised action points for you.
OR
B) Follow up 30-minute video call to discuss your results and answer any questions you have. Once the lab has completed your results you will be sent these via email with a link to book a time and day online. You will also then be given the option to upgrade your 30-minute call to a 45-minute call for an additional £30 if you wish. During the call your practitioner will explain the results in more detail and what they mean for you. After your call you are sent a personalised list of supplements & the dose your practitioner advises with links to purchase from our supplements store. This is for your convenience. You are of course welcome to purchase supplements elsewhere. You will also be provided with a list of follow up tests should this be required plus a copy of your recorded zoom call which you can download and keep.

Q. What is the process?
This dried urine screen kit is posted to you within 48 hours from the UK so you should receive your test kit within a few days via DHL. You can then arrange DHL to collect your sample using the freepost returns. If you are ordering from outside the UK we will ship via DHL or Fedex with return labels.
When we receive your results back from Precision Analytical Laboratory in the USA (approximately 2–3 weeks) we will email you your PDF report and provide support depending on which package you select at checkout.
Q. What makes DUTCH Complete different from a standard hormone blood test?
Unlike standard hormone blood tests, this dried urine hormone test measures not just hormone levels but also hormone metabolites — the downstream breakdown pathways your body uses to process oestrogen, progesterone and androgens. This adds clinical context that a blood test cannot provide, particularly when investigating patterns such as oestrogen dominance or poor hormone detoxification.
DUTCH Complete also includes melatonin, the oxidative stress marker 8-OHdG, and six organic acids linked to nutrient status (B12, B6, glutathione) and neurotransmitter pathways (dopamine, norepinephrine, serotonin) — giving you a broader picture of how your hormones and related systems are functioning together.
Q. What does the DUTCH Complete measure?
DUTCH Complete covers three main areas:
Cortisol and adrenal hormones: It measures your cortisol rhythm and cortisone output via 24-hour free cortisol, 24-hour free cortisone, and cortisol metabolites (THF + THE). This cortisol test component helps identify whether stress-hormone patterns may be contributing to fatigue, sleep disruption, anxiety or the "wired but tired" feeling that often accompanies HPA axis imbalance.
Sex hormones and metabolites: The panel covers oestrogen and its metabolites across the 2-OH, 4-OH and 16-OH detoxification pathways, progesterone via α- and β-pregnanediol metabolites, and androgens including testosterone and DHEA-S. This is particularly useful when investigating oestrogen dominance patterns, PMS symptoms and PCOS-related hormone profiles. A progesterone test, testosterone test for women and DHEA-S test are all included within the same panel.
Additional markers: DUTCH Complete also includes a melatonin test (useful for sleep and circadian rhythm assessment), the oxidative stress marker 8-OHdG, and organic acids that can indicate status of vitamin B12, vitamin B6, glutathione, and neurotransmitter metabolites linked to dopamine, norepinephrine/epinephrine and serotonin pathways.
Q. Who is the DUTCH Complete test for?
DUTCH Complete is suitable for both men and women from age 12 and over, and is commonly used in the following situations:
- PMS, mood swings, fatigue, insomnia, low libido or unexplained weight changes — for women wanting to investigate hormone patterns behind cycle-related or ongoing symptoms.
- Perimenopause and menopause — widely used as a perimenopause hormone test and menopause hormone test to map oestrogen, progesterone and cortisol patterns during hormonal transitions.
- PCOS — as a PCOS hormone test, it maps androgen levels alongside oestrogen and progesterone for a fuller picture of polycystic ovary syndrome-related hormone imbalance.
- HRT monitoring — can be used as a baseline hormone test before HRT or as an ongoing HRT monitoring test to track how your body is responding to treatment.
- Mirena coil or oral contraceptive pill — DUTCH Complete is suitable to use on hormonal contraception. Please note this in your patient form at checkout. It can help determine whether the Mirena coil is suppressing hormone production. Note: the Cycle Mapping add-on is not suitable for women currently on birth control.
Q. What is DUTCH Cycle Mapping and who is it for?
DUTCH Cycle Mapping is an optional add-on to DUTCH Complete that maps progesterone and oestrogen across the full menstrual cycle using nine targeted sample collections. It characterises the follicular, ovulatory and luteal phases to provide a fuller picture of monthly hormone patterns that a single-day test cannot capture.
Cycle Mapping is particularly useful as a:
- Fertility hormone test at home — for women exploring fertility concerns or supporting conception
- Irregular cycle hormone test — for long, short or unpredictable cycles where single-day testing is difficult to time
- Luteal phase progesterone test — to assess whether progesterone rises adequately following ovulation
- Ovulation hormone pattern test — to confirm whether ovulation is occurring and how oestrogen and progesterone track around it
- PMS migraines hormone test — for month-specific symptoms such as migraines, mid-cycle spotting, or mood shifts that worsen in a specific cycle phase
It is also recommended for women with cycling hormones and no menses, partial hysterectomy (ovaries intact), ablations, PCOS, or a luteal phase that shifts month to month.
Cycle Mapping is not suitable for: postmenopausal women or women currently using hormonal birth control. DUTCH Complete on its own remains suitable in those cases.
Q. How does the at-home DUTCH test work?
1. Order and complete your checkout patient health form
Add the test to your basket and complete the patient questionnaire at checkout, covering your symptoms, current medications and supplement intake, so that any practitioner support can be fully tailored to you.
2. Collect your dried urine samples at home using filter paper strips
The DUTCH test uses filter paper collection strips — no blood draw or 24-hour urine collection required. Samples are taken at set points across the day following the included kit instructions. If you have ordered Cycle Mapping, additional strips are collected across the month as directed.
3. Return your samples via DHL
Your kit is dispatched from the UK within 48 hours via DHL. Return your completed strips using the included freepost method (UK) or the included DHL / FedEx return label (international orders).
Turnaround and results: approximately 3 weeks from the lab receiving your sample (processed by Precision Analytical, USA). Your PDF report is emailed directly once the lab has completed your analysis.
Delivery: worldwide — please contact us first for a shipping quote if you are based in Australia, Bahrain, Bermuda, Canada, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, UAE or USA.
